Dear Media, Stop using Women as political tools.

CNN posted something today on Instagram. That shows that in Finland there are lots of women in power, and thus the decision making was better and the country overall got better in various different things.

Some people in the comments were open minded, others were not.

But I think very few understood what is wrong with this post.

"This is what women in power looks like"

This. This is wrong.

Let me ask, is the country better because they are women, or is the country better because they were better than the politicians that were before them?

I think it's disrespectful to attribute the accomplishments of those women with their sex. It is not because they have a uterus and not a dick that they were better at decision making.

No. Hell no.

It's because they were just better politicians, it was because they are educated, it's because they learned, and they fought to get there.

We should never lower women to their sex, this itself lowers their status.
Yes, women in power need to be there if they deserve it. Same thing for men . If a government was elected based on their competencies and projects that was all women, by democracy there is no problem in that. But the contrary is true.

We should never lower women.

Women are humans. I never saw an article that says "men in power means stronger governance". It's not because they have a penis that they are stronger.
For instance, There are thousands (if not more) of women that have better writing skills then I'll ever have. Does that mean that it's because we are from different genders?

Same thing for any other minority, it's not because someone is Muslim, gay, Christian, black, Asian etc. that they are good at something. It's because they worked on it. And we should not disrespect them and say "see? Asians are good at math, women rule better etc."

This is illogical.

Women who achieve great things need to be elevated yes.

But she is more than a women. She is a person, a human, she worked for this. Yes, we should take in consideration that they are women and that it might be in some regions of this world harder to get into certain place than men. Absolutely. But don't let it be all of it.

Remember to give credit to what was done.
Also, History showed that women also were horrible at governing sometimes.(Not all of them, same for men).
Catherine of Medici is debated to have butchered Protestants in Paris with her son. In the massacre of Saint Barthelme For example.

That's not to say, that women are evil and should not come to power.

Of Course not. There are people who deserve gaining power.

And they can rule well. But it's not because of their sex, race or religion that they managed to get there.
Getting in high places requires more than those things. It's just my opinion on the matter, women should fight to be more represented and men should help but when a woman gets somewhere, and you want to promote her and give an example. Talk about her accomplishments, and if her sex was an obstacle, say it. It needs to be heard, it needs to inspire resistance. Not inferiority, or arrogance because of some private part in the body. A woman is so much more than just a women, like a man is much more than his masculinity.

They are people, with ideas, experiences, creativity, ambitions and accomplishments.

CNN, i don't know if anyone from there might ever read this (probably not). I am not hating on you. I am just a person with an opinion, and I think- I really believe, that other minorities, need to be seen for what they are from the inside, and not who they are on the outside.

Oh and while I am at it This person clearly does not understand politics, or is acting like she doesn't so she can push a naïve agenda. And she clearly does not know about history either.

Halloo?
Queen Mary of Scots Vs Queen Elizabeth Of England? Rings any bell?

It's fine to forget about things when they elevate you apparently. But this is not feminism, feminism is the ideology of equality. A noble and right and honorable cause to fight for.

But what Sheryl Sandberg is saying is just, supremacy. That women are smarter or better than men at politics and better at decision making. This is an insult to what the countless male leaders that fought for peace did, whether it was in the missile Cuban crisis or Gandhi

. There are noble good men in our world. But for her to say such an illogical phrase would mean two things in my opinion, she is either playing politics, or she had a bad experience in life with men. I hope it's the first option.

Small open letter:
Miss Sheryl, do not lower men to fulfill your own goals and agendas. It is selfish and spreading hatred and a sense of imbecile arrogance. Instead spread peace and love and equality.

Unless you have an arm band that says "end to the dick movement" but even then, ask yourself what's right for humans, not for women or any other group. Do not give false lies and hatred into the hearts of women.
