A Dog Fight

Today i woke up not feeling very well , had a nightmare about being eaten alive. However when i did wake up i saw a note that was there. Explaining  that the dream was a new type of core substance integrated in my skin when i was sleeping. Apparently they deemed it better to do this then to suck my blood , the people that wrote me this highly egoistical  letter thought that to demonstrate their superiority they will not kill me , instead just show me their scientific skills instead , these are vampires , at least that's what they're calling themselves. Ha! 

in the letter they wrote that Count Dracus (very original sir) ,, wanted to let the vampires be a part of the official factions and assembly. 

Oh boy when i read that , i immediately thought how much the Librians and some other human puritans would loveee for me to include those new people.

Anyway , the vampire made sure to leave an address? if you can call it that. And , made sure to give me a tube that had black colored core. it's a gift after they gave me this nightmare. 

Before going to this meeting , i of course went to Ruby's , she and the team , INCLUDING ME , YES I DID HELP. Started to think of politics and how it should be answered and how i should behave over there. Some were not happy about me going to meet them , saying that it could be a trap , but i argued that I'd go with protection , and that they could have killed me if they wanted to at this point sooo might as well see how we can negotiate . and yes negotiate because read this

"We want to be treated as superiors in the assembly , for our race is truly superior , in return you shall receive our defense in times of need"

I know , delusional , and sounds like a Librian speaking , but it's not so it sounds wrong. Even i would not demand something like this from another faction , but in either case , Ruby noted that we should obviously not agree to everything , hell they even asked that we provide clean core to them . like what?

So i took a legion with me , Anchor will lead them when i am inside .  Me and Anchor drank Olga's Core water , this will let us think the same things for a period of time , kinda like talking to one another but nerfed. so if i think of burgers he will too , if He thinks of a plan , i will too. 

Anyway Ruby said that to beat Ego type people we should not show any fear or submission , quite the contrary . He is the small dog barking , i should be the big one , that stays silent , until the very end , where i bark , and ready to bite , and shouldn't stop until i hear him whimpering.

So basically , power moves , against , a vampire. Yeah my life is not boring i know. 

i arrived at the place , with my legion leaving me behind as i entered a huge underground mountain

i entered the small opening in the mountain , and saw a small room , with one table , two chairs , that was it. 

one of the chairs was taken , and thus i was sure it was the big boss sitting over there , however the lord wasn't dressed like one , he was dressed like me , just light armor. he was old , but seemed calm and kind . he had white hair , he had those typical red eyes , but he was not scary to me, he was okay. 

"Good morning sir" he takes the translating gadget in hand , the man spoke Armenian.

"sit" he said in a commanding voice  

i did not say anything and i took my place 

"Thank you for coming , i am sorry for the nightmare tube , i needed to get your attention"

"It's fine , next time , a letter near my bed would be just fine"

he shakes his head 

"As you know , we are requesting to join the assembly"

"We? I was expecting an underground castle but-"

he doesn't answer and points upwards 

i see open corridors , tunnels and ramps, carving the mountain and linking one side to another , on the construction were thousands of people looking at us , they all looked like him , red eyes , purely white , and smelled good. some of the "vampires" were whispering to one another , some were chuckling , and one winked at me , so i winked back with a smile. 

 "You see who's we now?"

"I do , you all suck blood here?"

"We are not what you call vampires , we just look like them , i just used this language in my letter so you can start imagining who and what we are"

"And what are you?"

"Humans but we stopped calling ourselves that , we are better now."

"Humans? Did the core do that to you?"

"Humanity did . In the great war, the ottomans massacred the Armenians , we were chained and were obligated to jump inside a deep hole in the ground , the hole was something the Turks did not make and did not know where it lead , all they knew is that they could not see the end of it , and so they threw us"

"This is how you got there?"

"Yes , the hole is right above us , closed by the ottomans by millions of rocks, steel and iron. it covers  80% of it"

"How did you survive down here?"

"When we arrived here , there was deep water , and DiamondHeart found us , and introduced us to the core , which then we used to survive and build what we could"

" you fed on the core all this time? how did you not overdose?!'

"many of us did , we died by the dozens , Diamondheart would bring us better less toxic core tubes to feed , but we lost many to that , here people die when they reach 30 , but it has progressed"

"What took you so long to reach us ? we've been in the underground for over 5 years now"

"We were living happily"

"Until?"

"Until my daughter had the ambition to break the hole wide open, and so i banished her , because if she does it , she will bring many problems to all of us down there"

"i agree , she clearly wants revenge"

"she does , she used your Railroad to go to the surface , and was jealous to see all the progress they did and the love they are getting even after what they did to us. She also could not support all the Light coming from above. "

"And you want to join because you know your daughter will not stop"

"She went to ask DiamondHeart for help , i am sure she will accept"

"Of course , i will talk to the other members for your integration , but for this whole superiority thi-"

"We are humans who fed on the core for decades , i am sure you know what it means"

"i do"

"and thus , if tomorrow i march all my men on Libra we all know what will happen"

"You ask my help then proceed on just saying you are superior?"

"This is not my problem , this is yours too. If this hole opens , the surface will rain on us."

"If you want to be a part of the assembly , you have to think like us"

"You are not getting out alive if you don't agree."

i look around and i see thousands of people ready to just destroy my pretty face.

"I can hear your heart bounding in a fast tone , Sails." 

i sit back , take a breath , shake my head , i lock eyes with him , and explain everything in a calm voice.

"First , You kill me and you'll never get what you want , the others will come to avenge me too. Second , maybe it's our problem but we are not equally miserable here , if anything your people will see the surface hitting down on them first , but can the tyrants above conquer all the underground? No. But your mountain is another story. Third , give me your hand" 

i grab his hand towards me furiously as i do many soldiers got down from the ramps ready to strike , but he stops them with a hand sign.

 i pose his hand on my heart, he hears and feels, the soft , calm , unimpressed beat of my heart. 

"I think it was your heart that you heard earlier , not mine." i say whispering 

i let his hand go and get up

"If we are not equals then i have nothing to see to you"

he gets up as well but angry he takes a knife out 

"I said you will not get out of this alive"

"Have you forgotten what race i am? Hmm?"

he stands silent

"Maybe we humans , can be dumb , weak , cowards even , but there is one thing that we surely and clearly are good at doing , it's adapting" 

as i say that , many soldiers outside light up big torches and stand ready for an order, the people inside the mountain smelled the fire ,That will suffocate them in a short amount of time. 

"Now , unless you want us to both become cooked, or butchered , i advise you to take my offer"

The lord does not know what to say , he looks at his people , he knows deep inside he needs allies not enemies , he knows he needs to save his people , and not stand proud , but become humble. 

"As Equals" he says in defeat

Voila , As Ruby planned , the little dog whimpered. 

I approach him , hug him , raise his hand to the crowd who applauds and invite him to the muttons we are cooking outside .
