The Blond And The Window

there was this beautiful richly dressed blond near a window.

everyday she would look to the horizon , not doing anything , just looking , existing. 

she always had a cup of coffee with her .  she did not have any friends , or family , no one knew anything about her.

people would just see her on the window , with the same black clothes again and again everyday. 

some people tried to knock on the door and see if she'd open , if she would move. 

but she never did.

always , what she did , was look out from that window , looking at the trees , looking at emptiness. 

the neighbors thought she was a ghost , they never saw her move , others thought  it's a very well made statue . but she could be seen breathing and closing her eyes sometimes . she also drank some coffee , but very rarely. 

in either case , she was known as the blond looking from the window. 

One time , some kids got around the house and started to try dumb and stupid things to make her laugh. they tried everything , but she never even smiled. she just stood there , existing . Some kids started to come near the window and tried to talk to her . about what happened in school , or they'd just rant about many other things. they were listened . they were never scared of her, she didn't look like a ghost , and she didn't look ugly or scary at all. she was like their mothers in a way. they felt comfortable.  her little garden became a place where kids would meet , they started to come everyday , and talk to her. and she'd never answer back. 

One day the neighbors once called the authorities , because well , they thought she threw some sort of spell on the kids , they were hanging too much there. they were happy more then normal. 

Ruby and Emerald , two very known authority figures in the underground city of Libra , went to the house. There were kids as usual, they ignored them and tried to burst the door. but all the kids  stopped what they were doing and went to them , saying that she wouldn't like them to get in without invitation . when the two leaders asked why , the answer was that the blond woman once asked them to never let anyone in, apparently it was the only time she spoke. 

the kids seemed dead serious .  Emerald understood that something bad might happen if they open that door without her consent . it was never done before. Ruby looked the woman in the eyes , trying to see what species she is. but she was just human , not a ghost , not anything else then that

Ruby concluded that it's a core element trapped in a human dead body . however it wouldn't been able to talk if that was the case. so the theory did not add up.

Emerald And Ruby told the kids to go home , they all told her goodbye and they all left. one thing i did not mention , the woman would move her eyes , so Ruby and Emerald felt uncomfortable when the woman stopped looking at the kids coming and saying bye and looked at them directly. Ruby swore she smirked for a second. as if she was about to do something horrible. 

The two girls started to look for clues , but not going inside the house. They decided not to call hunters. it could end badly.

Ruby looks at the woman and asks her 

"What if i bring curtains?"

no answer was given , at least not in words. 

the blond women looked at the curtains inside her own house.

Emerald is pissing herself but she doesn't show it.

"We are here to help , can we get in?"

no answer at all this time

"what happens if we force our way in?" Ruby says with confidence that will go away in an instant. 

the women answers by laughing for a little while , she poses near the window her coffee ,  and then her two hands as she gets closer. 

"Try , and you'll see"  she said with her very soft and gentle voice . her posture did not change , she is now silent , looking at the two women in front of her in defiance. 

Emerald gets her phone , Ruby notices...

"what are you doing?"

"Calling hunters , she clearly is dangerous"

"Wait , no ."

Ruby looks at her 

"if she is dangerous we would be dead already , she is not lethal , at least not unprovoked"

"we don't know that"

"no we don't , but we're about to find out" 

Ruby takes a sharp rock of the ground , she looks at the Woman . 

"Get off the window lady"

but the woman doesn't budge 

Emerald crosses her arms , and ruby throws the rock at the window , before it even hits , a magic shield obliterates the rock to pieces .  

Emerald scoffs "well thank God we did not burst that door open"

"It's the house that is doing this to her , not something inside her"

"Yep , the house has something weird in it"

"well , the only way i can see is that we close the curtains from the inside"

"But to do so we need to be invited" 

"we missed something."

"she is looking from the window , at this other house.."

"this is not a house this is a- ah-"

"ah?"

"God. Look at the window of the other house"

"what? what's that? some , very very old lady , she is clearly cold look at her shivering"

" she has no fireplace , nor beauty , nor youth ,nor money . nor attention as the women behind us , this old lady , she's been there for years but no one saw her , or wanted to see. Emerald , i think i understand."

"how do you know she-"

"because i remember being a kid and seeing her everyday on my way home, but i never wanted to come here, nobody did"

The old blond lady in the other house falls , Emerald and Ruby run towards the house , they burst the door wide open. They find an old woman , tears in her eyes , she is cold , she is tired. They come closer , to hold her .  however all she does is smile as she fades out and becomes no more.

Emerald takes a tear out , Ruby gets up and sighs , as she looks over the old ugly window , and then looks to the other house. She sees the beautiful woman walking away from the window , she gets inside a room , and was never seen again.

NOTES : I went to the house myself , after core addicts did their job in taking down the shield . i found dark blue hair and a familiar perfume, did DiamondHeart visit? i wouldn't be surprised . Anyway , No Woman was found , all i did find however was a hot cup of coffee , that i drank in the honor of the Blond Lady.
