Another way to manipulate people into going to your arms and take guns to fight for you is meaning.
Who doesn't want to be the hero that comes back from a war?

Meaning can be various different things , but if you think about it , at the end of the day , everyone likes to be right , everyone likes to be a hero , everyone loves to be a victim.

nobody likes to be the villain in a real life scenario , this is why when we do something bad , we either fill it with justifications , or we just admit it , but when we do , we feel guilt and do not enjoy it.

Okay okay , yes there are bad people in this world , but they are still humans , even if their opinions and their justifications are dumb they are still there , they are still alive and well , and thus this is how a bully , a killer and a rapist sleep at night.

people who do harm just for the sake of it , do it because they are sick , mentally , maybe they don't show it , or maybe they are just doing something dumb that they will regret later.
Hitler killed the Jews because of the hundreds of justifications he gave , he took away their humanity , and punished them.

It's all about meaning sometimes , to die for a nation , for a government , an idea , a political person , an organization , or money.

the army is honorable , but at the end of the day it is a political tool that can be used to achieve their goals .
dying for your land is honorable , but that does not mean you died for a good cause , but served a horrible one hidden away , the one that is keeping a war lover on a throne.

Let's look at the fight in Ukraine happening , the Tsar is trying to justify his war with false claims , over territory , and over the majority of the people of Ukraine , calling them Nazis . which is not true at all and are lies.
there is a difference in dying for Ukraine , and dying for what Ukraine represents right now.

War these days should not even be considered , because we are not in a game of civilization 6 .

Am i saying that President Zelensky is doing the wrong thing by calling for people to take up arms? No. i am against rolling over . But also he needs to try his best to end this conflict , sadly we all really know who can.
It's not up to Ukraine to end autocracy for it's not their fight alone. I am not calling for a WW3 , i am asking for a poisoned tea to be placed in the Kremlin .
Anyway , enough with the today's politics , let's remember this :

Meaning is what can drive a people. Justify the war , and they'll die for you. Take down all other opinions , and show your truth . give a righteous feeling to the war . a sense of heroism , a sense to the madness, to chaos , hunger , plague and death. The moment you , the moment you do soaring speeches , you will be surprised on how many people will die for eloquent words .

Is it always bad?

I wouldn't go as far as to say that.
Some wars , need to be fought , but innocent young men do not deserve to die these days , these days , wars should be fought with no blood , but with information .

Give the people the power to think critically , and you will regret it .

A tyrant will use fear to get his way , it's temporary , but he sets an example.

A Better leader would use love , and be himself , the example.

Both can give meaning , both can lead , but one shall be cursed in the minds of his people , the other , no matter what he will do , will be cursed with high voices by a part of the people .
