A Frontier Between Us
  • Partly sunny
  • Partly funny
  • Sometimes moody
  • And can get nasty
  • Very bloody
  • Serving a country
  • Built by History
  • Full of flattery
  • And Charming like a ticket of Lottery

  • They could not let her go
  • They could not let her go

  • But here we stand on our wall
  • Look at them die
  • As we Warden their fall
  • The Morning tomorrow will lie to them
  • And rain will laugh at the Might of Men
  • No Crow will fly innocent
  • Because it must feast on the Belligerent

  • Here we stand and so does she
  • Stone protecting us isn’t it funny?
  • Fur and blur upon our bodies
  • The Fire burnt so many Stories
  •
  • Here comes famine inside and hungry
  • Taking smiles of Father’s family
  • As the ones outside
  • Flattered by might
  • In hand torches of light
  • Waiting for the right fight or flight

  • Kill, kill, and kill
  • Drill, drill,  and drill
  • Veni , Vidi , Vici
  • Before the daggers cut me

  • So many ideas lied to Men...
  • So many lies told to a friend
  • So many honesty told to arms
  • So much loneliness in the Farms
  • They wanted to conquer
  • And wanted to love her

  • "Sic Semper Tyrannis"
  • Yet Many believe a Fascist
  • Oh the irony , Oh the irony
  • Everyone wants to end Tyranny
  • But Few want to die for Liberty

  • And they couldn’t let her go
  • And they couldn’t let her go

  • Fools in armors and arrows in their hearts
  • Rocks befell near them and were never blocked
  • 7 thousand blades rest now
  • And no one will remember their bow
  • But yet she stands yet she stands

  • What else remains? A soldier asked
  • « Flames » she answered as he gasped.

Context ? :

I felt like i wanted to write a poem but i had an artist block so , but THE WEATHER SAVED ME :

This made me start it and aim to finish it , overall take the poem with a grain of salt , my goal was to get rimes mostly , but also talk about War in general , i was inspired by the War of the Sore Throat , I added some fictional sprinkles to make it taste better as well... And if you thought it was a love poem at first , well it was a trick sooooo-

More context maybe? The poem talks about a strong wall , separating the attackers and the ones protecting their country with this HUGE wall , the poem has no winners beside the stone structure , many died either by War or Famine.

I think the poem also has some "reality" to it , i mean , war is not a nice thing , roars , speeches and bravery are , but when it comes to the battles , many things become forgotten , they'll drill in your head hate , ambition , revenge and so many other things , and when i mean "them" i don't mean the Illuminati or something , it's you , it's the people , and well , don't get me wrong , sometimes war is a must , like in self defense , or in a particular scenario , but it doesn't mean that if it has to happen that it's a nice , happy , positive thing to do , we should never be cowards , but we should also remain Human.

Thank you for the time given
